Edition #006

We’re at the sixth edition, so the first three months! Woo hoo. We got here.

It feels particularly AI focused this edition. Mainly that’s where all the action is in data & analytics. Using AI, data powering AI. It’s a fast moving space, just as you get your head around something, there’s a new advancement or set of tools.

On a bigger level, there’s even concern of how AI use will impact the energy grid. That’s how big this space is getting. So if you’ve been late to dabble in AI when it comes to data & analytics, that should be signal to swap, to find some experiments to play with and learn. And for that, there’s a new tool or platform every week.

This rapid advancement will take years to sort itself out, especially as each tool goes through the adoption curve. And for each of these companies, they need to stay close to the customer and move with the market, otherwise they risk being left behind.

Yet amongst these rapid shifts, Accenture seems to be booking a lot of projects. What does this tell us? The power of a trend to get commitments from the C Suite? Or the disruptment potential of AI backed solutions. Both can and probably are true.

It also suggests that Accenture is deeply in there with clients, understanding how they need to navigate this disruption. Doing what each of the startups needs to be doing.
